We use a multidisciplinary approach combining modern technology with proven hands-on techniques to ensure faster recovery.
Chiropractic care is a patient-centred, non-invasive, hands-on, regulated health care profession focused on your spine, muscles, joints and nervous system. We use the best evidence available to create a treatment plan specifically for you.
At Deva's Spine Care, our adjustments are safe, gentle, and effective. We focus on correcting spinal misalignments (subluxations) that can cause nerve interference, leading to pain and dysfunction. This treatment is highly effective for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica. By restoring proper alignment, we help your body heal itself naturally without the need for drugs or surgery.
The Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) is an anatomical perspective in which the underlying cause of virtually every musculoskeletal injury (and many neurological and medical conditions) is considered to be a specific pathological deformation of the body's connective tissue, or fascia.
This unique approach focuses on the patient's body language and description of pain to diagnose the specific type of distortion. Treatments are often manual and can be intense but provide almost immediate relief for conditions like frozen shoulder, ankle sprains, and pulled muscles. FDM is widely used by elite athletes for rapid recovery.
Manual therapy is a clinical approach utilizing specific hands-on techniques, including but not limited to manipulation/mobilization, used by the physical therapist to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures.
Our Myofunctional Therapy (MFT) and other manual techniques aim to modulate pain, increase range of motion (ROM), reduce or eliminate soft tissue inflammation, induce relaxation, improve contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, extensibility, and/or stability, and facilitate movement. It is the cornerstone of effective physiotherapy.
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. It is used for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). We use advanced sterile cups to ensure safety and hygiene while delivering the maximum therapeutic benefit for muscle stiffness and spasms.
Dry needling is a technique physical therapists use for the treatment of pain and movement impairments. The technique uses a "dry" needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle.
It specifically targets "trigger points"—taut bands of skeletal muscle located within a larger muscle group. These trigger points can be tender to the touch and touching a trigger point may cause pain to radiate to other parts of the body. Dry needling helps release these knots, reduce muscle tension, and normalize dysfunctions of the motor end plates, providing significant pain relief.
Sports taping (or Kinesio taping) involves applying tape to the skin in order to support and stabilize muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints.
We use high-quality taping methods to alleviate pain and facilitate lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin thus increasing interstitial space and allowing for a decrease in inflammation of the affected areas. It is excellent for athletes or anyone recovering from an injury who wants to stay active.
Our Advanced Physiotherapy protocols go beyond basic exercises. We integrate electrotherapy modalities (like IFT, Ultrasound, TENS) with specialized exercise prescription to restore function.
Whether you are recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic arthritis, or suffering from a ligament injury, our advanced physiotherapy aims to strengthen the muscles surrounding your joints, improve flexibility, and restore your full range of motion. We focus on getting you back to your daily activities as quickly and safely as possible.
Rehabilitation is a step-by-step process designed to help you recover from serious injury, surgery, or illness. It involves restoring lost skills and regaining maximum self-sufficiency.
At Deva's Spine Care, our rehab programs are comprehensive. We cover post-surgical rehab (ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, spine surgery), stroke rehabilitation, and geriatric care. We focus heavily on core strengthening, balance training, and functional movement patterns to ensure that once you recover, the injury does not return.
Spinal traction is a form of decompression therapy that relieves pressure on the spine. It can be performed manually or mechanically. It is used to treat herniated discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, and many other back conditions.
By gently stretching the spine, traction changes the force and position of the spine. This change takes pressure off the spinal disks, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine, by creating negative pressure in the disc. As a result, bulging disks may retract, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine. This promotes water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids to move into the disks so they can heal.
